The Peoples School for Marxist-Leninist Studies officially gives our endorsement to the Humanity for Peace events happening on August, 6th, 2023, 78 years after the genocidal United States’ dropping of atomic bombs on the Japanese city of Hiroshima. This bombing stands as the only use of nuclear weapons on another nation, during war and of a civilian population. Over 200,000 people were murdered in an instant, and the bombers were never held accountable. For 78 years the world has held its breath, watching countless nuclear close-calls and hearing countless imperialists threaten to use nuclear weapons on a myriad of countries. Now we are closer to a nuclear war than ever, and nuclear war is an immediate and overwhelming threat to all of humanity and life on Earth. We plead for the stopping of this escalation and to avert nuclear warfare.
That week, we also invite anybody interested to a class on the Atomic Bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. It will be August 8th at 8 pm EST and 10th at 9 pm EST.
